We're delighted to announce that John Wayne Speaks: The Ultimate John Wayne Quote Book is scheduled to be published by St. Martin's Press in the Fall of 2021. The publishing agreement was signed on December 3, 2020, by the author, Mark Orwoll; his agent, Jeff Herman of the Jeff Herman Agency; and St. Martin's Press. John Wayne Speaks is a tribute to the Duke's roles in 173 films from 1926 to 1976. More than 1,000 of the iconic actor's movie quotes are categorized and footnoted, so each quote can be attributed to a specific film. Additionally, the book contains an overview of Wayne's film career, as well as production credits and capsule reviews of all the actor's films--from the silent era, through his most memorable roles in movies like Stagecoach, Sands of Iwo Jima, Fort Apache, The Searchers, The Cowboys, et al); to his film finale in The Shootist. St. Martin's Press is one of America's largest and most prestigious book publishers. We think the proposed cover of the book from the St. Martin's Press art department looks great (see below).
